JAKARTA – Deputy Minister for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Helvi Moraza emphasised the importance of business innovation, product quality control, and commitment to meeting market needs when opening the Inabuyer B2B2G Expo 2026 in Jakarta on Tuesday (5/5/2026). According to Helvi, these steps are key to enabling MSME entrepreneurs to establish sustainable business partnerships, whether through government procurement of goods and services, national priority programmes, or as suppliers to private retail companies. “If they want to level up, MSMEs must be synergised so they can enter the supply chains of large businesses, with strengthened access to financing and market expansion,” Helvi stated. Throughout 2025, the national economy grew steadily at 5.11%, supported by strong domestic demand, investment, government spending, and exports. The Ministry of MSMEs continues to bolster market access through the organisation of the Inabuyer B2B2G Expo 2026, held from 5–7 May 2026 at the Smesco Building in Jakarta, in collaboration with the Indonesian Shopping Centre Tenants’ Association (Hippindo) and the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP). Helvi explained that Inabuyer opens wide opportunities for potential MSME entrepreneurs to forge partnerships with various parties, starting from state-owned enterprises such as PLN, Kimia Farma, Pertamina, Pegadaian, and Perum Bulog. In addition, MSME entrepreneurs also gain access to ministries and agencies, such as the Ministry of Human Settlements and Housing, the Ministry of Social Affairs, and the National Nutrition Agency, to participate in various strategic programmes, including Rumah Rakyat, Sekolah Rakyat, and Free Nutritious Meals. “Inabuyer provides everything; here there is consultation, financing facilities, and business matching with buyers. Take advantage of this event for MSME entrepreneurs throughout Indonesia,” Helvi said. The government, through LKPP, is also strengthening the use of domestic products, particularly from MSME entrepreneurs, to accelerate government procurement of goods and services in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 46 of 2025. “We are fulfilling President Prabowo’s mandate to collaborate across ministries and agencies, financing institutions, educational institutions, Hippindo, state-owned enterprises, and other strategic partners so that MSMEs become increasingly resilient as the backbone of the nation’s economy,” she added. Chairman of Hippindo Budihardjo Iduansjah stated that global dynamics are driving the retail sector to strengthen domestic trade through the development of an ecosystem that favours MSME entrepreneurs. “We are creating a retail ecosystem where MSMEs become suppliers, thus ensuring that Indonesians shop for domestic products in their own country,” he said. Secretary General of LKPP Iwan Herniwan added that the involvement of MSME entrepreneurs in government procurement of goods and services is an important strategy in national development, given their role in creating jobs and driving the economy. “MSME entrepreneurs must be bold in conducting market sounding and business matching with the government and companies. This is important because the government will soon prepare procurement plans for 2027,” he said.
