MSME Ministry Disburses Rp 57.51 Trillion in People's Business Credit in Q1 2025
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) has disbursed people's business credit (KUR) totalling Rp 57.51 trillion in the first quarter of 2025. Data compiled up to 31 March 2025 showed the number of debtors reached 1,014,545.
"Of that amount, the production sector absorbed Rp 33.86 trillion or approximately 58.9 per cent of total KUR disbursement," said MSME Minister Maman Abdurrahman at a press conference at the MSME Ministry office in Jakarta on Tuesday (15/4/2025).
The KUR disbursement target for 2025 is set at Rp 300 trillion.
Maman previously stated that achieving this target still faces various obstacles, ranging from administrative issues and information regarding KUR provisions and criteria to the matter of additional collateral.
He expressed optimism that the target could be met and pledged to provide progress reports to the public.
"We will continue to promote this spirit of transparency. We plan to deliver a second quarter report so that the public can directly monitor this ministry's performance in supporting MSME entrepreneurs across Indonesia," Maman said.
By the end of Q1 2025, the MSME Ministry, together with the Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH), and the National Standardisation Agency (BSN), had also accelerated the issuance of Business Identification Numbers (NIB) for MSMEs, totalling 739,843 NIBs.
With this achievement, cumulative national NIB issuance has reached 12.27 million, or approximately 80.2 per cent of the national target of 15.3 million NIBs by 2029.
In addition to NIBs, Minister Maman also reported the issuance of 25,509 halal certificates in Q1, covering approximately 162,754 products, against the 2025 national target of 3.5 million halal certifications.
"To that end, the MSME Ministry continues to promote ease of doing business and legal standing for MSME entrepreneurs through the 'Micro Business Facilitation and Protection Festival', which will be held across 18 provinces to accelerate these targets," Maman said.
