MPR Deputy Chairman states WFH in Parliament Complex successfully implemented
Jakarta (ANTARA) - MPR Deputy Chairman Eddy Soeparno stated that the work-from-home (WFH) policy implemented on Friday (10/4/2026) was successfully carried out at the Senayan Parliament Complex in Jakarta, as a measure for energy consumption efficiency.
“Alhamdulillah, yesterday (Friday) we consistently implemented WFH at the DPR, MPR, DPD RI, and all employees carried out activities from home,” said Eddy when contacted by ANTARA in Jakarta on Saturday.
Eddy explained that the implementation of WFH is one proof of parliament’s commitment to demonstrate to the public that WFH is carried out across all levels, including by parliament members in Senayan.
Therefore, he continued, he hopes that the WFH programme launched by the government will be followed by all segments of society.
“Especially from government elements in order to carry out energy conservation and efficiency throughout Indonesia,” said Eddy.
Through Circular Letter of the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Number 3 of 2026, effective from 1 April 2026, all government agencies apply a combined work pattern of four days work from office (WFO) from Monday to Thursday and one day WFH on Friday.
This policy is part of the ASN management transformation that emphasises performance achievements over physical presence.
In this scheme, supervision no longer relies on physical presence, but on measurable work achievements through digital systems.
Each agency leader has direct responsibility to monitor and ensure that their subordinates’ performance remains optimal, including during WFH implementation.
Each personnel development official/agency leader is obliged to monitor and supervise the achievement of their subordinates’ performance targets, and ensure that the performance reporting system runs effectively.
Evaluation of the effectiveness of implementation must be reported to the Minister of PANRB no later than the 4th of the following month.
Civil servants who do not meet performance targets will be subject to disciplinary sanctions in accordance with Government Regulation Number 94 of 2021.
