Moratelindo and MyRepublic Merger Gives Birth to MoraRepublic
JAKARTA – PT Mora Telematika Indonesia Tbk (Moratelindo) and MyRepublic Indonesia have officially merged through a merger process, giving birth to a new entity named MoraRepublic.
The combination of the two companies was formalised on Thursday (23/4/2026) and is described as a strategic step to strengthen infrastructure and digital services in Indonesia.
The merger integrates Moratelindo’s strengths as a provider of fibre optic backbone networks with MyRepublic, which focuses on fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) internet services for retail customers.
With this merger, the company now has a more complete service chain, from core networks to direct connectivity to users.
“With the establishment of MoraRepublic, we are in a stronger position to increase network capacity and infrastructure, thereby delivering faster, more reliable, and broader services,” it stated, as quoted by KompasTekno from the official MoraRepublic website.
From the shareholders’ perspective, the President Director of PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk, L. Krisnan Cahya, views this merger as a significant milestone in strengthening the national digital foundation.
“MoraRepublic is an important step in strengthening Indonesia’s digital infrastructure foundation,” he said.
Independent Chief Commissioner Arsjad Rasjid added that this merger is a response to the growing need for connectivity in the country, while also promoting more integrated and efficient company management.
Meanwhile, MyRepublic Indonesia has a broad retail customer base through its fibre internet services in various cities.
Through MoraRepublic, these two strengths are now united to deliver more integrated digital services, while expanding the reach of connectivity.
The company also aims to drive digital inclusion, particularly by providing more equitable and quality internet access in various regions of Indonesia.
“In a world that is increasingly connected, it is important to continue innovating and strengthening collaborations to deliver relevant connectivity,” said Timotius.
With the formation of MoraRepublic, the company is expected to play a larger role in supporting the national digital transformation, in line with the growing need for fast and reliable telecommunications infrastructure.
