JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Ekamas Mora Republik Tbk (MORA) or MoraRepublic has officially been established as an integrated telecommunications infrastructure and fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service company, resulting from the merger of PT Mora Telematika Indonesia Tbk and PT Eka Mas Republik. MoraRepublic is a subsidiary of PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA), part of the Sinar Mas Group operating in the energy and digital infrastructure sectors. DSSA President Director L. Krisnan Cahya stated that the formation of MoraRepublic is a strategic step to strengthen digital infrastructure in Indonesia. The company will focus on network expansion and service quality improvement. “MoraRepublic is an important step for us to strengthen the foundation of Indonesia’s digital infrastructure,” said Krisnan in a press statement on Thursday (23/4/2026). In agreement, MoraRepublic’s Independent Chairman Arsjad Rasjid said the merger of the two entities was carried out to address the continuously increasing connectivity needs, with management emphasising good corporate governance. “This merger is a real response to Indonesia’s growing connectivity needs,” Arsjad emphasised. Before merging into MoraRepublic, Moratelindo had been a Network Access Provider (NAP) and Internet Service Provider (ISP) since 2000, as well as one of the providers of telecommunications backbone networks (Fibre Optic Backbone) in Indonesia. As of September 2025, Moratelindo had a total fibre optic cable length of more than 57,000 kilometres (km) and 6 data centres with a capacity of 3.3 megawatts, with more than 16,800 enterprise customers, nearly 1 million total homepasses, and more than 296,000 retail customers. Meanwhile, MyRepublic Indonesia is an FTTH network provider serving more than 1.52 million retail customers with high-speed internet services up to 1 Gbps, and has more than 58,000 km of fibre optic cables with more than 8.7 million homepasses, as of September 2025.
