Mobile phone snatchers
Mobile phone snatchers
From Media Indonesia
At 9 a.m. on Oct. 18, I boarded an electric train (KRL) from
Manggarai to the UI railway station to go to my campus,
University of Indonesia, Depok. The train was rather empty that
morning so each passenger could get a seat. I sat close to the
train door, reading a book.
At Pancasila University station, a smartly dressed man siting
in front of me came close to the door, a signal he wanted to get
off the train. I had no sense at all of an impending crime. All
of a sudden, the man snatched the cell phone from my pocket, then
dexterously leapt from the moving train. Indeed he is a pro. May
Allah show him the road of repentance.
After some checking, I found it in the hands of someone else,
who said he had bought it somewhere in Jatinegara, East Jakarta.
