Mobile libraries hit by fuel price hike

SEMARANG, Central Java: A senior librarian said on Wednesday fuel
price hike would surely affect operations of mobile libraries
across the province. "Our budget is limited while the price of
fuel has increased sharply. It will affect mobile library
performance," said Titik Rahajoe, the chief of Library Office at
Central Java provincial administration.

Titik said the cars would still serve public but as part to
economize budget for the fuel, the office was considering to
reduce the frequency the cars wander around the province. Before
the fuel price hike, the library cars wander around six days a
week, but after the fuel price hike, it would wander around for
five days a week, said Triyono, a staffer with the provincial
library office.
