Missing Dutch tourists found

DENPASAR, Bali: Two Dutch tourists reported missing last month
have been found on Mount Agung. They were weak and had badly
bruised feet, Antara reported yesterday.

The Dutch men, identified only as Rheno, 41, and Kaey, 21,
were reported missing shortly after they attended a Hindu
religious ritual in Pura Besakih last month.

The men were found on Friday, police said.

Chief of the Karangasem police precinct, Lt. Col. Djermias
Sooe, said the tourists were found by citizens in a forest on the
mountain.

"The citizens found them after three days of searching,"
Djermias said. He added that the holidaymakers had lost their
way, had run out of food and were exhausted.

He said that the Karangasem government had prohibited tourists
from climbing the mountain during the Hindu holiday. (pan)
