TEMPO Interactive, YOGYAKARTA:Miss Universe 2011 Leila Lopez arrived in Yogyakarta yesterday accompanied by Miss Indonesia 2010, Nadine Alexandra, and Miss Environment 2010, Reza Kartikasari. The group went straight to Prambanan Temple. "Before I came here, I only knew that Indonesia was a country in Asia and about batik," Leila said at the Sheraton Mustika Hotel in Yogyakarta.

The Angolan native praised batik and said she would wear it when she crowns the new Miss Indonesia on October 7. “I love the pattern and the fabric,” she said. According to Miss Indonesia Foundation chairman, Mooryati Soedibyo, Indonesia was the first country to be visited by Miss Universe. Later, Leila will visit 30 other countries. “She will speak about Indonesian culture, fashion, tourism and others,” she said.
