From Kompas

Attracted by an alluring television advertisement, I bought a sumi knife from TV Media. It cost me Rp 94,800 including the delivery cost. I didn't use it immediately because I still had my old knife.

In December 1995, as I celebrated Christmas and the New Year, I wanted to try the knife. My wife cut an apple into two. To our astonishment the metal inside the handle broke.

I contacted TV Media on Jan. 6, 1996, at its office in the Duta Merlin complex in Central Jakarta, to request the broken knife be replaced. Their reply disappointed me. The guarantee was only valid for a month.

The ad assured that the knife was durable. Can TV Media explain this contradiction?
