JAKARTA - Data from Jasa Marga records that 3,968 goods transport vehicles have been diverted to alternative routes since H-8 until Eid al-Fitr Day 1447 H. These diversions were implemented on 17 toll roads spread across 54 points, covering Tol Dalam Kota, Jagorawi, JORR E, Jakarta–Tangerang, Cipularang, JORR W2U, Jakarta–Cikampek, Palikanci, Batang–Semarang, Semarang ABC, Semarang–Solo, Solo–Ngawi, Ngawi–Kertosono, Surabaya–Gempol, Gempol–Pandaan, Gempol–Pasuruan, and Pandaan–Malang. “Based on RFID data at KM 54 B on the JORR E route from 13 March to 21 March 2026, there were 158 goods transport vehicles with 3 to 5 axles passing through during the goods transport restriction period, and those vehicles were detected as Over Dimension Over Loading (ODOL),” stated Director General of Land Transportation Aan Suhanan in Jakarta on Sunday (22/3/2026). “Up to today, there are 124 goods transport truck owners recorded as violating the operational restrictions for goods transport, with some violating up to three times,” Aan revealed. The vehicles that most frequently violated belong to PT SIL, PT MUPM, PT IWE, PT FRI, and PT PF. For the violators, the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation has officially issued administrative sanctions in the form of warnings not to repeat operational violations and requires violators to submit a written Statement of Commitment not to commit similar violations. “We are doing this to smooth vehicle traffic ahead of the peak return flow for Eid homecoming. We prioritise aspects of safety and comfort for road users,” he explained. His side mandates all logistics companies to comply with the goods transport restriction rules outlined in the SKB, which applies to vehicles with three or more axles, vehicles with tandem and semi-trailers, as well as vehicles transporting mining products, quarry results, and construction materials. “We also thank the logistics entrepreneurs who have supported and complied with this policy. Let us together maintain safety on the highways, especially during major moments,” Aan emphasised.
