Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Tourism is promoting the #GoBeyondOrdinary campaign within Wonderful Indonesia’s participation in the business-to-business tourism fair at ITB Berlin 2026.

‘The #GoBeyondOrdinary campaign reflects the Ministry of Tourism’s flagship programme, ’Quality Tourism’, which emphasises creating added value through the principles of inclusivity and sustainability,’ said Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana in an official statement confirmed in Jakarta on Wednesday.

While opening the Indonesian Pavilion at the Berlin ExpoCenter, Messe Berlin, on Tuesday (3/3), Widiyanti stated that the theme #GoBeyondOrdinary was chosen to assert Indonesia’s position as a destination that is not only beautiful in landscape but also provides travel experiences that are high-quality and value-added.

This year, the Ministry promotes Priority Tourism Destinations (DPP) and Regenerative Tourism Destinations (DPR) at ITB Berlin 2026. In the Indonesian Pavilion, these destinations are introduced through various immersive experiences packaging that entice foreign tourists to venture to Indonesia and through a range of travel packages.

All of this aligns with the Ministry of Tourism’s flagship Quality Tourism programme. More than 91 industry players from 11 provinces are taking part, consisting of accommodation providers, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), travel agents or tour operators, tourism villages, and other tourism service providers.

‘More than 91 business players from 11 provinces are present, representing the diversity and strength of Indonesia’s tourism. Your presence is tangible evidence that Indonesian tourism grows through collaboration, hard work, and mutual trust,’ she said.

The Ministry of Tourism also uses the ITB Berlin momentum as a strategic platform to strengthen the promotion of Muslim-friendly travel packages increasingly popular with global travellers. This is considered potential given ITB Berlin brings together buyers from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

‘With the diversity of attractions on offer, Indonesia provides travel experiences that touch the heart and senses of travellers through interactions with local communities, the richness of culture, and authentic traditions at every destination,’ Widiyanti said.

This target reflects optimism about increasing the tourism sector’s contribution to national economic growth.

ITB Berlin 2026 runs from 2–5 March 2026. The Indonesian Pavilion occupies an area of 441 square metres in Hall 26, Booth No. 111, one of the largest Indonesian pavilions in terms of industry participation in the last five years.

The Indonesian Pavilion showcases five specialist-interest travel packages, including maritime tourism, gastronomy, wellness, Nusantara textiles, and Muslim-friendly tourism.

During her working visit to Berlin, Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana also visited the Indonesia Culture House (RBI) Berlin, as a cultural diplomacy centre managed by the Indonesian Embassy in Berlin, which strengthens Indonesia–Germany relations.
