Ministry of SMEs Expands Access for SMEs to Government Projects
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) continues to expand access for SME actors to enter the government procurement supply chain and various national priority programmes in order to enlarge market opportunities and strengthen their contribution to the national economy.
Deputy Minister of UMKM Helvi Moraza stated that the government is opening such opportunities through the Inabuyer B2B2G Expo 2026, which brings together SMEs with ministries, agencies, state-owned enterprises (BUMNs), and up to the modern retail sector.
“If SMEs want to level up, they must be synergised so they can enter the supply chain of large businesses and be strengthened with financing access and market expansion,” Helvi said when opening the Inabuyer B2B2G Expo 2026 in Jakarta on Tuesday, quoted from an official statement.
According to her, SMEs need to be encouraged not only to sell products independently but also to become suppliers in government goods and services procurement as well as the needs of large companies.
In addition, there are public infrastructure managers such as Angkasa Pura Indonesia, ASDP Indonesia Ferry, KAI, Hutama Karya, and Jasa Marga, as well as modern retail companies like AEON, Indomaret, Alfamart, Mr. DIY, and Azko.
Helvi stated that the government is also opening opportunities for SME involvement in several national priority programmes, such as Rumah Rakyat, Sekolah Rakyat, and Makan Bergizi Gratis.
“Inabuyer provides everything; here there is consultation, financing facilities, and business matching with buyers. Utilise this event for SME entrepreneurs throughout Indonesia,” she said.
“We are creating a retail ecosystem where SMEs become suppliers, thus ensuring that Indonesian people shop for domestic products in their own country,” she added.
Meanwhile, the Chief Secretary of the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP) Iwan Herniwan said that SMEs need to actively conduct market sounding and business matching because the government will soon prepare the planning for goods and services procurement for 2027.
