Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Health and UNICEF have officially signed the Programme Document (ProDoc) 2026–2030 as a strategic framework for cooperation to strengthen the national health system and accelerate the achievement of human development targets in Indonesia.

This signing reaffirms the commitment of both parties to deliver measurable improvements in health, particularly for women, children, and vulnerable groups, through the enhancement of more equitable, high-quality, and sustainable health services.

Secretary General of the Ministry of Health, Kunta Wibawa Dasa Nugraha, in Jakarta on Thursday, stated that this ProDoc serves as a strategic instrument that not only functions as a framework for activities but also as a driver for the transformation of the national health system.

“This Programme Document must become a driver of transformation, not merely a framework for activities. We are committed to ensuring effective implementation through good governance, transparency, and a results-based approach,” said Kunta.

This collaboration is supported by a funding commitment of US$35.9 million, encompassing financial support, procurement, and technical assistance. This support is directed towards strengthening the health system, improving service quality, and expanding access to health services for the most needy communities.

The Ministry of Health emphasises that this partnership is not merely administrative but a strategic step to bolster the resilience of the national health system amid increasingly complex global challenges.

“With the signing of the ProDoc 2026–2030, the Government of Indonesia and UNICEF reaffirm their joint commitment to delivering real, measurable, and sustainable impacts for the health of the Indonesian people,” he stated.

UNICEF Indonesia Representative Maniza Zaman expressed appreciation for the Indonesian Government’s commitment to strengthening result-oriented cooperation with tangible impacts for children and families in Indonesia.

“This collaboration is expected to accelerate the achievement of sustainable health and human development targets,” said Maniza.
