Prospective Hajj pilgrims from the first wave in Cimahi, numbering 441 people and four staff members, are being transported from Cimahi using 11 buses on 26 April to the Hajj Embarkation in Indramayu, with their flight departing the next day on 27 April.

Cimahi (ANTARA) - The Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) in Cimahi City, West Java, has begun dispatching prospective Hajj pilgrims for the first wave, totalling 441 individuals for the Hajj season of 1447 Hijriah/2026.

The Head of the Kemenhaj Office in Cimahi City, Nandang Rahayu, stated that these pilgrims will join Kloter 7 and are scheduled to depart on Sunday (26/4) to the West Java Hajj Embarkation in Indramayu.

“Prospective Hajj pilgrims from the first wave in Cimahi number 441 people and four staff members. They are being transported from Cimahi using 11 buses on 26 April to the Hajj Embarkation in Indramayu, and the next day on 27 April they will be flown out,” said Nandang in Cimahi on Friday.

From the West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati in Majalengka Regency, the pilgrims will be sent to Saudi Arabia on Monday (27/4) to perform the series of Hajj rituals.

“Those postponing their departure are four people, a married couple. The reasons are illness, and also because their partner is ill, so they wish to accompany them,” she said.

One point of attention in this year’s departure is Suhaenah Ekanata, a resident of Kampung Cilember, Cigugur Tengah Ward, Cimahi Tengah Subdistrict, who is the oldest prospective pilgrim at 86 years old.

“Alhamdulillah, I am happy to finally be able to depart for Hajj this year. It is also a gift because I just had my birthday yesterday,” she said.

Meanwhile, overall, Cimahi City has recorded dispatching 556 prospective Hajj pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj season, divided into two waves of departure, with the second wave scheduled for 7 May 2026.
