Surabaya, East Java - Head of the East Java Regional Office of the Treasury Directorate General at the Ministry of Finance, Saiful Islam, stated that Rp578.78 billion has been spent on the construction of People’s Schools in East Java.
“We are also monitoring the People’s Schools here; the budget allocation for East Java is Rp3.4 trillion, with Rp578.78 billion already spent,” he said in Surabaya on Monday.
Saiful stated that the expenditure of Rp578.78 billion represents 17% of the total budget allocation of Rp3.4 trillion.
He noted that 18 locations in East Java are prioritised for People’s Schools construction this year.
The 18 locations are divided into four work packages. The first package targets five sites: Sampang Regency, Surabaya City, Gresik Regency, Tuban Regency, and Tuban Regency.
The second package targets four locations: Nganjuk Regency, Ngawi Regency, Pacitan Regency, and Madiun Regency.
The third package targets four locations: Pasuruan Regency, Pasuruan City, Kediri Regency, and Kediri City.
The fourth package includes construction in five locations: Malang Regency, Blitar Regency, Trenggalek Regency, Banyuwangi Regency, and Jember Regency.
