Ministry of Education Ensures Data Collection for Uncertified Teachers
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Directorate General of Teachers and Education Personnel (Ditjen GTK) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology has officially launched the Data Collection Programme for Specific Uncertified Teachers for 2026 as an effort to expedite the completion of the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) programme.
Director General of GTK at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Nunuk Suryani, stated that the programme aims to ensure that all eligible teachers without educator certificates are optimally recorded and given the opportunity to participate in PPG, given that there are still several active teachers targeted by the PPG programme who have not yet undergone the administrative selection registration process up to 2025.
“Through this data collection, we want to ensure that all specific teachers who have been teaching up to the 2023/2024 academic year are truly identified and facilitated to participate in the PPG programme,” said Nunuk in Jakarta on Wednesday.
This collection, she added, is a strategic step in improving the professionalism and quality of teachers in Indonesia.
Furthermore, she explained that the Data Collection Programme for Specific Uncertified Teachers for 2026 targets teachers who have S1/D4 academic qualifications, are actively teaching in the 2023/2024 academic year, and do not yet have educator certificates.
Teachers included in the targets, she continued, can check on the Info GTK website https://info.gtk.kemendikdasmen.go.id/ and the SIMPKB PPG https://ppg.simpkb.id/, and will receive notifications through their respective Info GTK accounts.
The available confirmation options, said Nunuk, include interested in participating in PPG, not interested in participating in PPG, currently participating in PPG, and already having an educator certificate.
For teachers who state they are interested, she continued, the administrative selection registration process is carried out through the SIMPKB application.
The selection results will be announced periodically through each participant’s account.
To support participation of prospective participants, Nunuk conveyed that the role of education offices is very important, especially in conducting further verification for teachers who have not confirmed or state they are not interested.
Teachers who do not provide confirmation until the specified deadline will automatically not be included in the programme targets.
Her side also urged all education offices to actively socialise this programme to teachers in their respective regions.
