Ministry of Creative Economy partners with industry to discuss support for the digital creator ecosystem
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Teuku Riefky Harsya, Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, is engaging industry players to discuss support for strengthening the digital creator ecosystem in Indonesia through collaboration. The industry player this time engaged is NOICE, a platform for digital audio and video content. The collaboration opportunity highlights efforts to open distribution, monetisation, and talent development for local creators.
“Many creators come to us with films or content they want to publish, but they do not know where to be taken. This is where collaboration with platforms like NOICE becomes important, because those works can be recommended to be curated and brought together with the right distribution ecosystem,” said Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday.
He conveyed these remarks when receiving an audience from NOICE at Autograph Tower, Jakarta on Friday (6/3).
He emphasised the importance of opening the right distribution channels for filmmakers and digital content creators. The Ministry of Creative Economy encourages collaboration with digital platforms so that creators’ works are channelled optimally and connected with a broader distribution ecosystem.
In addition, the Ministry is opening opportunities through talent-strengthening programmes such as the Emak-Emak Matic programme which encourages the community—especially housewives—to become content creators and players in the digital economy.
The government is also striving to connect the national creator ecosystem, including creator communities and associations, with digital platforms such as NOICE so that their works have wider distribution and monetisation channels.
Meanwhile, NOICE Chief Business Officer Niken Sasmaya explained that NOICE continues to develop the creator ecosystem through innovations in digital content monetisation models.
The platform has recorded more than five million downloads and offers a variety of content formats such as podcasts, audio series, and digital films.
According to Niken, NOICE creates a fan economy ecosystem, where creators can monetise their works directly to their audiences, set content prices, and utilise distribution and promotional features on the platform.
“We want to help creators not only to create, but also to earn directly from their audiences. Our affiliate programme also enables the community to help promote creators’ content and earn commissions from sales,” said Niken.
This audience is expected to further strengthen the collaboration between the Ministry of Creative Economy and NOICE in supporting the growth of the digital creator ecosystem in Indonesia.
