Ministry of Communication and Digital Ensures Network Stability During 2026 Eid Return Flow
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) has assured that telecommunications services will remain stable during the 2026 Eid return flow, including at crucial points such as Semarang Tawang Station in Central Java.
Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Nezar Patria stated that the government is conducting direct monitoring of network quality to ensure services remain optimal amid a surge in communication traffic.
“At Semarang Tawang Station, we have set up a post to monitor the services and quality provided by mobile operators and the existing telecommunications network,” Nezar said during his inspection of the 2026 Eid Homecoming Post in Semarang on Friday (27/3), as quoted from the official Kemkomdigi website.
Monitoring is being carried out in collaboration with the Semarang Radio Frequency Spectrum Monitoring Agency and mobile operators through intensive supervision at several strategic points.
The monitoring results indicate that the network remains in good condition, with data speeds ranging from 70 to 110 Mbps, which is deemed sufficient to support the public’s real-time communication needs.
“The download and upload speeds we monitored reach above the average of 70 to 110 Mbps. This is in very good condition,” he said.
In terms of mobility, the number of passengers at Semarang Tawang Station was recorded at around 10,000 people during the homecoming flow and is expected to recur during the return flow, with the peak movement on 28 to 29 March 2026.
Despite the increase in the number of users, Nezar stated that no significant disruptions to telecommunications services have been found.
To anticipate potential disruptions during the peak return flow, Komdigi has deployed monitoring teams on 24-hour standby to detect and address issues quickly.
“We have teams fully on alert to monitor and identify disruptions, and to immediately provide solutions,” he said.
Kemkomdigi is also ensuring ongoing coordination with mobile operators and relevant stakeholders to keep services optimal until the return flow concludes.
“We are prepared to support the return flow for the next one to two days so that the public remains connected smoothly as they return to their activities,” Nezar said.
