Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education Appreciates Ministry of Communication and Digital's Involvement in Reducing TKA Violations
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) appreciates the involvement of the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) for successfully reducing the number of violations during the implementation of the Academic Ability Test (TKA) for junior secondary education (SMP).
Head of the Basic and Secondary Education Policy Agency (BKPDM) of Kemendikdasmen, Toni Toharudin, stated that Kemkomdigi’s involvement succeeded in mitigating violations while monitoring the conduct of the SMP-level TKA, which concluded a few days ago.
“Last year for SMA-SMK, we hadn’t involved Kemkomdigi yet, so there were quite potential loopholes for cheating. But for this year’s SMP, with our collaboration with Kemkomdigi, it has been relatively more controlled, although there were still supervisors taking photos, but it was relatively more contained with Kemkomdigi’s involvement,” said Toni during a visit to the TKA Monitoring Post for primary education (SD) at the CBD BSD Complex in South Tangerang City, Banten Province, on Monday.
He explained that this year, they partnered with Kemkomdigi to prevent TKA question leaks across all education levels, as occurred during last year’s SMA-level TKA implementation.
Through strengthened digital-based supervision systems and good coordination between parties, the TKA implementation can proceed more smoothly, transparently, accountably, and reliably.
“This is a positive step in maintaining the integrity of the TKA process while increasing public trust in future TKA implementations,” Toni stated.
For information, the TKA implementation for primary education (SD) will take place from 20 to 30 April 2026, with supplementary exams from 11 to 17 May 2026.
