Jakarta — Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf has disclosed that numerous assets from the Religious Affairs Ministry (Kemenag) remain obstructed in their transfer to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

Irfan explained that asset transfer provisions for hajj and umrah operations are regulated under Law No. 14 of 2025.

“Assets being transferred include those sourced from the state budget, hajj finances, and other lawful acquisitions, whether currently in use or no longer in use,” said Irfan during a working session with Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives at Parliament Complex in Jakarta on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

“Even if these are no longer used for hajj and umrah purposes, that does not mean we do not require them. We still need them for hajj and umrah activities,” he added.

Irfan outlined several assets whose transfer remains in process, including official residences. He further listed Wisma Haji on Jalan Jaksa, Wisma Haji Ciloto, Wisma Tugu Puncak, Wisma Haji Ciracas, and Wisma Haji Pancoran.

Additionally, other assets include the Batam Hajj Information Centre, the Siskohat Building, and Hajj Hospital in Pondok Gede.

“Hajj Hospital in Pondok Gede may require more detailed discussion because the Religious Affairs Ministry has already transferred it to the State Islamic University of Jakarta, but there are several documents still registered under the hajj hospital name,” said Irfan.

During the session, Irfan also addressed plans to develop 53 Integrated Hajj and Umrah Service Centres (PLHUT) across various regions, which continue to face land acquisition obstacles.

According to him, this matter also requires special attention.

He stressed that alternative locations for several PLHUTs remain in process as they await donations from regional governments and land certification.

“Alternative locations are still pending grants from regional governments and land certification, potentially hampering construction and PLHUT realisation targets,” Irfan stated.
