The collaboration involves the Ministry of Population and Family Planning/BKKBN, the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA), the National Standardisation Agency (BSN), BPJS Employment, the Government Investment Centre (PIP) under the Ministry of Finance, and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

Ferry stated that inter-agency collaboration is a directive from President Prabowo Subianto to ensure the success of various national priority programmes, including strengthening the Village/Sub-District Red and White Cooperative (KDKMP) programme.

“We must build a super team so that, hopefully, with collaboration and a strong team, we can succeed in the various programmes implemented by the government,” he said in a written statement on Monday (11/5/2026).

He added that the main focus of this collaboration is to strengthen the KDKMP programme through various cross-sectoral supports. Together with the Ministry of PPPA, products from village women’s groups will be incubated, funded, and marketed through village cooperative outlets.

“The KDKMP will later operate medicine outlets and village clinics that also function as childcare and child protection units,” he continued.

The Ministry of Cooperatives is also synergising with the Ministry of Population and Family Planning/BKKBN to encourage supervised groups in villages to have cooperative business entities. Meanwhile, through cooperation with BSN, cooperative products are encouraged to have standards to compete in domestic and international markets.

In addition, social protection aspects are also a concern. Ferry asked BPJS Employment to provide comprehensive protection for cooperative managers, from managers to security and finance personnel.

“BPJS Employment is also encouraged to reach women’s groups and supervised groups under related ministries so they can benefit from protection,” Ferry explained.

From the capital side, cooperation with the Government Investment Centre (PIP) under the Ministry of Finance is expected to help finance business units and supervised groups that have transformed into cooperatives. Ferry hopes that this synergy will provide real benefits to village and sub-district communities.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Population and Family Planning/Head of BKKBN, Wihaji, assessed that the family empowerment programme run by BKKBN has great potential to be synergised with the Red and White Village Cooperative. He explained that his ministry has the Family Income Improvement Unit for Acceptors (UPPKA), namely groups of family planning participants who are nurtured to be economically independent.

“This is the precursor that will later become part of the synergy with the Minister of Cooperatives through the Red and White Village Cooperative,” said Wihaji.

Furthermore, PPPA Minister Arifah Choiri Fauzi proposed that KDKMP become a reporting centre for violence against women and children. This is based on the location of the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) PPA at the district level, which is still considered too far for village residents. In addition to being a complaint centre, KDKMP is also expected to become a local community training centre.

Arifah also encouraged the involvement of women in the management structure of KDKMP. According to her, the presence of women is not just a complement, but becomes the driving force of the village economy.
