Minister Bahlil Sends Off 1,496 Mudik Participants from Energy and Mineral Resources Sector
Jakarta (ANTARA) – Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia dispatched 1,496 mudik participants from the energy and mineral resources sector to provide convenient access to safe and comfortable homecoming journeys.
“This communal mudik has become a tradition for the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, with all stakeholders participating together with all employees, whether in state enterprises or within the ministry itself, as well as the general public. This is a manifestation of government-community solidarity,” Bahlil stated in an official statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Bahlil stated that the communal mudik programme not only served as a transportation facilitation mechanism for employees, but also reflected the spirit of collaboration and solidarity between the government and stakeholders in the energy and mineral resources sector.
During the occasion, Bahlil also reminded participants to ensure home security before departure and to maintain safety throughout their mudik journeys.
“For those of you mudik-ing, I once again remind you not to forget to turn off the stove first. Even if you are already on the bus, please telephone your neighbour – check the irons and other appliances, and make sure no plugs are left in the sockets. Do not forget to lock your house,” he said.
This year’s Communal Mudik Programme was organised through collaboration with six state-owned enterprises in the energy sector: PT Mining Industry Indonesia, PT Pertamina Persero, PT PLN Persero, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Persero Tbk, PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk, and PT Bank Negara Indonesia Persero Tbk. A total of 33 buses transported 1,496 mudik participants, serving 20 destination routes in Sumatra and Java.
Bahlil also visited the mudik participants by symbolically boarding a bus to greet and pray for the travellers before departure.
The 2026 Communal Mudik Programme for the Energy Sector was expected to provide tangible benefits for employees, particularly those in grades I and II, government employees with work contracts (PPPK), and outsourced workers, whilst strengthening the spirit of solidarity and social responsibility within the energy sector.
“We pray that our sisters and brothers undertaking mudik will always be protected by Allah Almighty and reach their destination safely to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. We, the extended family of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and all BUMN directors in the ministry, beg for forgiveness and wish everyone a blessed Eid al-Fitr celebration,” Bahlil said.
