Middle East Conflict: Five Flights from Bali Affected
Jakarta – Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi, Head of Communication and Legal Division at PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia Ngurah Rai International Airport, announced that several flight routes at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali have experienced flight delays and/or schedule adjustments. This is a consequence of airspace closures in several countries.
“Nevertheless, flight operations and airport services at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali generally continue to operate normally,” said Eka in a written statement in Jakarta on Sunday (1 March 2026).
Eka reported that several flights have undergone schedule adjustments as of Sunday (1 March 2026) at 11.00 WITA, including Etihad EY477 with a scheduled departure at 18.45 WITA on 28 February from Denpasar (DPS) to Abu Dhabi (AUH), United Arab Emirates, which was delayed. Four other flight routes were cancelled: Emirates EK369 scheduled to depart at 19.45 WITA on 28 February from Denpasar (DPS) to Dubai (DXB) in the UAE; Qatar Airways QR963 scheduled to depart at 18.50 WITA on 28 February from Denpasar (DPS) to Doha (DOH) in Qatar; Emirates EK399 scheduled to depart at 00.25 WITA on 1 March from Denpasar (DPS) to Dubai (DXB); and Qatar Airways QR961 scheduled to depart at 00.30 WITA on 1 March from Denpasar (DPS) to Doha (DOH).
The management of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports), which operates Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, according to Eka, has coordinated with several agencies, particularly with airlines, to continuously update flight schedules and manage prospective passengers at the airport. Eka stated that his team, together with AirNav Indonesia, continues to monitor affected airspace, and coordinates with security authorities to anticipate security situations at the airport.
“Based on data from airlines, the number of prospective passengers from the five flights experiencing schedule adjustments totals 1,631 passengers,” said Eka.
Eka ensured that handling of all passengers has been carried out in accordance with each airline’s respective policies. He urged prospective air travellers to maintain communication with airlines for updates on flight schedules.
“We also provide help desk services located on the 2nd Floor of the International Departure Terminal, as well as contact centre services accessible through telephone number 172 for schedule information updates,” said Eka.
