Mayor installs garbage men

JAKARTA (JP): West Jakarta Mayor H. Sutardjianto installed a new team of garbage collectors in a special ceremony in the grounds of the mayoralty's offices on Wednesday.

The team of 800 garbage men is composed of civil servants, employees of various private companies and members of various West Jakarta youth organizations.

The mayor expressed the hope that the garbage men could help the city administration make the capital clean.

The mayoralty now has a total of 1,200 garbage collectors, Antara reported. (bas)
