Maybank Records Rp 1.66 Trillion Profit in 2025
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk (BNII) recorded a net profit attributable to owners of Rp 1.66 trillion in 2025. This figure increased by 48.5% year-on-year (yoy) from Rp 1.11 trillion in the previous year.
Net interest income (NII) increased slightly by 1.6% yoy to Rp 7.45 trillion. The net interest margin (NIM) was recorded at 4.3% in 2025.
Meanwhile, non-interest income grew by 8.1% yoy, mainly supported by improved global markets income of Rp 441 billion, as well as income contributed from asset recovery and wealth management.
Consequently, operating income increased slightly by 3.1% yoy to Rp 9.55 trillion, with the operational efficiency ratio (BOPO) recorded at 86.3%.
In terms of intermediation, Maybank Indonesia’s total credit disbursed was recorded at Rp 123.64 trillion, down 3.1% yoy. This decrease was related to the rebalancing of the global banking (GB) corporate credit portfolio, which recorded a decrease of 18.4% yoy. However, GB’s Large Local Corporates (GB-LLC) segment recorded a 13.1% quarterly growth.
Asset quality, or the non-performing loan (NPL) ratio, was 2.2% (gross) and 1.3% (net) in 2025, improving from 2.7% (gross) and 1.4% (net) in 2024.
On the funding side, current account and savings account (CASA) grew by 6.3% yoy, driven by a 12% yoy growth in current accounts, supported by an increase in financial transactions through the M2E (corporate customer) platform.
Meanwhile, savings accounts recorded a decrease of 3.3% yoy.
Fixed deposits decreased by 12.1% yoy in line with the bank’s continued focus on optimizing a more efficient funding structure. The CASA ratio also increased to 57.6% in December 2025 from 52.9% in December 2024.
As of December 2025, total customer deposits were recorded at Rp 116.19 trillion, down 2.4% yoy.
The improvement in the funding structure has tightened the loan-to-deposit ratio, as reflected in the bank’s loan-to-deposit ratio (LDR) of 90.3%.
President Director of Maybank Indonesia, Steffano Ridwan, said that in 2025, the company focused on improving the quality of sustainable and reliable income.
“We also disciplinedly manage costs and optimize the funding structure, with strong risk management, so that our profitability increases, accompanied by improved asset quality and a more resilient balance sheet,” said Steffano.
