Indonesian ride-hailing platform Maxim has recognised the contribution and dedication of more than 50,000 driver partners spread across over 100 cities in Indonesia by distributing Eid bonuses (BHR). The presentation ceremony was held symbolically at Maxim’s head office in South Jakarta on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.

Development Director of Maxim Indonesia, Dirhamsyah, stated that the Eid bonus distribution represented the company’s appreciation for driver partners who have been an important part of Maxim’s journey and development in Indonesia. “We hope this support can help increase the welfare of driver partners whilst strengthening the good relations that have been built so far,” he said.

He explained that the Eid bonus distribution was determined based on productivity levels within the application, the quality of service provided to users, and compliance with company regulations. “This approach is carried out individually, taking into account the performance and activity level of each driver, so that the distribution process can run objectively and on target,” Dirhamsyah said.

The Assistant Deputy for Productivity Enhancement and Labour Ecosystem Development at Indonesia’s Ministry of Coordination of Economic Affairs, Chairul Saleh, stated that it was important to maintain the welfare of driver partners, particularly during certain moments such as Eid. According to him, the Eid bonus distribution today exemplified the social relationship built on the basis of partnership between the company and driver partners. “We appreciate Maxim Indonesia for distributing Eid bonuses to its partners before seven days before Eid. This is support that is very helpful and meaningful for the partners,” he said.

The Labour and Eid Bonus Coordinator at Indonesia’s Ministry of Manpower, Nurdin Adi, emphasised that attention and recognition of driver partners’ contributions was very important. He welcomed and appreciated Maxim Indonesia’s initiative and commitment in providing Eid bonuses to driver partners.

“The distribution of Eid bonuses is a form of recognition of the contribution of partners in supporting the company’s service operations and part of efforts to strengthen better and more inclusive partnership relations in the digital platform-based work ecosystem,” he said.

The Head of the Non-Scheduled Transport Team at Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation, Elena Yunita, stated that the Road Transport Directorate greatly appreciated this initiative. She hoped that this activity would support the improvement of driver partners’ welfare, particularly those working through the Maxim application. “With the assistance provided today, we hope driver partners can feel the benefits, especially in welcoming Eid,” she said.

One of Maxim’s driver partners, Mujiono, expressed his happiness with the Eid bonus distribution. He, who has been a Maxim driver partner for the past three years, did not expect his hard work over the past year to be appreciated by Maxim.

“Thank God it can help me and my family meet our daily needs. Especially with Eid approaching,” he said. “Hopefully in the future Maxim can reach more drivers so they can get the same opportunity.”

Meanwhile, Public Policy & Government Relations Specialist at Maxim Indonesia, Muhammad Rafi Assegaf, stated that besides Eid bonuses, Maxim also provides various forms of support and additional incentives during Ramadan. One form of this support is the distribution of groceries packages to driver partners.

“This year, this programme has also expanded and reached more than 50 districts and cities in Indonesia. Groceries distribution is carried out directly through Maxim branch offices in various regions,” he said.

Aside from driver partners, Maxim also operates social assistance programmes for communities, including groceries distribution to orphanages and communities in need. This year the programme reaches 15 cities, with more than 150 orphaned children and people in need as beneficiaries.

Another programme that is also a focus for Maxim is support for driver partners with disabilities. “During Ramadan, Maxim applies zero to a maximum of one per cent commission for disabled driver partners, for both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles. This programme is our initial step towards building a more inclusive ecosystem.”
