Massive Demonstrations Shake Britain as Pro-Trump Rally Demands PM Step Down
Thousands of people took to the streets in London for a mass demonstration titled ‘Unite the Kingdom’, a protest that rattled the British capital. The rally, which included right-wing figures such as Tommy Robinson, carried conservative messages urging Prime Minister Keir Starmer to resign and raised questions about how long the current government can last before the next election in 2029.
Although organisers said the event was not affiliated with any political party, participants from across the political spectrum were seen. Many marchers wore turquoise, the colour associated with Reform UK, the hard-right party led by Nigel Farage, described as an architect of Brexit and ally of US President Donald Trump.
The Metropolitan Police said they mounted a ‘significant’ security operation amid fears the parade could clash with pro-Palestinian demonstrations elsewhere in the city. Police later reported 11 arrests for various offences.
