A close friend of mine has complained about his bad luck. On
Feb. 17, he was dismissed along with 12 of his colleagues without
any clear reason or severance pay. These people had worked, on
average, more than ten years for the company.

I am deeply concerned about the matter because while the
Minister of Manpower is working to raise the welfare of workers,
some employers are degrading the labor laws by dismissing their
workers and thereby creating more unemployment.

The authorities are advised to investigate the case because
the former employees of PT Kemala Paripurna have not received
their severance money or been given certificates of past
employment.
