The Jakarta Post, Jakarta
The only two Indonesians left at the Swiss Open men's singles,
Marlev Mainaky and Rony Agustinus, made their way to the
semifinals after winning their matches at Basel's St. Jakobshalle
on Friday.
Also cruising to the semifinals was the Indonesian men's
pairing of Bambang Suprianto and Sigit Budiarto, also the sole
surviving Indonesia pair.
Marlev reached the semifinals stage without dripping a single
bead of sweat as his opponent, Anders Boesen of Denmark, pulled
out of the competition, as reported by www.worldbadminton.net.
First seeded in the event, Marlev will now meet Ng Wei of Hong
Kong who won his quarterfinals match against Dutchman Dicky
Palyama.
Ng Wei lost the first game before regain control of the match
with a 3-7, 7-3, 7-0, 7-2 victory.

Chua. Chua defeated his compatriot Ayob Sairul Amal with an easy
7-3, 7-3, 7-1 win.
Meanwhile, Rony lost his second game before coming from behind
for a 7-2, 5-7, 7-1, 7-4 win over Kasper Oedum of Denmark.
All the semifinals matches were scheduled for Saturday
evening.

it too difficult to reach the semifinals as they won 7-0, 7-3, 7-
3 over second seeds Michal Logosz and Robert Mateusiak of Poland.
The semifinals match is surely a tight one as the Indonesian
pair will face South Koreans Lee Dong-soo and Yoo Yong-sung.
