        "content": "<p>Marlev, Rony reach Swiss Open semis<\/p>\n<p>The Jakarta Post, Jakarta<\/p>\n<p>The only two Indonesians left at the Swiss Open men&apos;s singles,<br>\nMarlev Mainaky and Rony Agustinus, made their way to the<br>\nsemifinals after winning their matches at Basel&apos;s St. Jakobshalle<br>\non Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Also cruising to the semifinals was the Indonesian men&apos;s<br>\npairing of Bambang Suprianto and Sigit Budiarto, also the sole<br>\nsurviving Indonesia pair.<\/p>\n<p>Marlev reached the semifinals stage without dripping a single<br>\nbead of sweat as his opponent, Anders Boesen of Denmark, pulled<br>\nout of the competition, as reported by www.worldbadminton.net.<\/p>\n<p>First seeded in the event, Marlev will now meet Ng Wei of Hong<br>\nKong who won his quarterfinals match against Dutchman Dicky<br>\nPalyama.<\/p>\n<p>Ng Wei lost the first game before regain control of the match<br>\nwith a 3-7, 7-3, 7-0, 7-2 victory.<\/p>\n<p>The other semifinals match will pit Rony with Malaysian James<br>\nChua. Chua defeated his compatriot Ayob Sairul Amal with an easy<br>\n7-3, 7-3, 7-1 win.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Rony lost his second game before coming from behind<br>\nfor a 7-2, 5-7, 7-1, 7-4 win over Kasper Oedum of Denmark.<\/p>\n<p>All the semifinals matches were scheduled for Saturday<br>\nevening.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile in the men&apos;s doubles, Bambang and Sigit did not find<br>\nit too difficult to reach the semifinals as they won 7-0, 7-3, 7-<br>\n3 over second seeds Michal Logosz and Robert Mateusiak of Poland.<\/p>\n<p>The semifinals match is surely a tight one as the Indonesian<br>\npair will face South Koreans Lee Dong-soo and Yoo Yong-sung.<\/p>\n<p>The Korean pair earlier defeated the Danish pair of Michael<br>\nSoogard and Michael Lamp 5-7, 7-5, 7-4, 7-5.<\/p>\n<p>Another Danish pair of Jens Eriksen and Martin Lundgaard are<br>\nset to face Liu Kwok Wa and Albertus Susanto Njoto of Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p>The Danish pair defeated Malaysian Choong Tan Fook and Lee Wan<br>\nWah easily with a 7-5, 7-5, 7-1 victory.<\/p>\n<p>The Hong Kong pair won a close match against Mathias Boe and<br>\nPeter Steffensen of Denmark 7-2, 7-5, 7-5, 7-1, 7-3.<\/p>",
