JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Mandiri Utama Finance (MUF) has disclosed its strategy to maintain healthy and sustainable growth through 2026. MUF director and acting President Director Dapot Parasian S. Sinaga noted that despite challenges to consumer purchasing power, MUF continues to see positive growth opportunities. The company will implement a strategy of selective expansion, strengthening synergies with banking partners, and optimising its entire financing portfolio. ‘Facing 2026, we are not merely chasing volume growth, but ensuring the quality of financing is maintained. Our strategy is selective expansion, enhanced risk management, and optimising the potential for synergies within the Bank Mandiri and BSI ecosystems,’ Sinaga said at the Ramadhan 1447 H Media Gathering on Thursday (5 March 2026). In addition, the company will increase penetration in the wholesale segment as part of its diversification strategy and to strengthen its business structure. Ahead of Eid, vehicle financing is projected to remain the dominant segment for family travel needs, while motorcycles support daily mobility. ‘Cash funding products also become an option for people to meet various needs ahead of the Hari Raya period,’ he added. In line with its sustainable business commitment, Sinaga noted that MUF recorded vehicle financing for electric vehicles (EV) and hybrids in 2025 reaching Rp 2.49 trillion, up 99 percent year-on-year and representing 10 percent of total disbursed financing. Meanwhile, financing to the productive sector accounted for 23 percent of the total portfolio, reflecting MUF’s active role in supporting real-economy activities. On the funding side, the joint financing scheme strengthens the funding structure to be more efficient and competitive. On the sales side, the captive market within the banking ecosystem provides opportunities to expand to customers with a well-managed risk profile. ‘Synergy with Bank Mandiri and BSI is not only about funding, but also about expanding access to quality markets. This is our main strength to grow in a healthy and sustainable manner,’ Sinaga said.
