Mandiri Allocates IDR 44 Trillion to Meet Cash and Digital Transaction Needs During Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Cash and digital transaction needs are projected to increase throughout Ramadan until Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri. To anticipate this, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk has prepared IDR 44 trillion in cash for the period of February 24 to March 25, 2026.
This figure is a 5% increase compared to the same period last year, which was IDR 41.9 trillion. This additional liquidity is prepared to maintain the smooth flow of community activities, especially during salary and holiday bonus (THR) payments, essential goods purchases, and the Eid homecoming rush.
Bank Mandiri’s Corporate Secretary, Adhika Vista, said that the average daily cash replenishment requirement is estimated to reach IDR 1 trillion to IDR 1.4 trillion. The peak usually occurs just before the height of the Eid homecoming and Eid al-Fitr.
“This provision of cash is a manifestation of Bank Mandiri’s commitment to providing integrated synergy across our service network, so that the community’s transaction needs during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr can be optimally met,” said Adhika to reporters on Wednesday (February 25, 2026) evening.
For the community, the availability of cash remains crucial, especially in areas that are destinations for Eid homecoming and centers of economic activity. To this end, Bank Mandiri operates 12,900 ATM and CRM units and 322,000 EDC machines spread across various regions.
In addition to physical cash, digital transactions are also expected to increase sharply. The company is preparing IDR 18 trillion in liquidity in the Bank Indonesia’s Dana Settlement Account through the BI-Fast system for the period of March 18-25, 2026.
The value is equivalent to approximately IDR 2.5 trillion per day to ensure that interbank transfers remain smooth during the long holiday.
