Mandarin's new director

JAKARTA (JP): Surabaya's Hotel Majapahit, a Mandarin Oriental
Hotel Group property, has appointed Daniela Grendene its director
of sales and marketing, an executive announced.

The hotel's general manager, Martin Rinck, said here yesterday
that Grendene, who has also worked with Inter-Continental, joined
the group four years ago as sales director for France, Italy,
Spain, Portugal and Belgium.

The hotel is 75 percent owned by the Sekar Group of Indonesia
and 25 percent by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group of Hong Kong.
