Jakarta, Kompas.com — Ahead of the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H, workers typically receive their annual holiday allowance (Tunjangan Hari Raya, THR).

It is not uncommon for people to treat THR as unexpected money that is quickly spent on immediate consumption needs.

Digital investment application Bibit reminds the public that a portion of THR could be the first step towards a more stable and planned financial future.

William, Head of PR & Corporate Communication at Bibit.id, stated that the moment of receiving THR is the right time to start investing.

He explained that investment product options such as mutual funds, shares, and state bonds with fixed returns (FR) can help the public invest according to their individual risk profiles.

One instrument that has attracted considerable interest recently is FR bonds.

In addition to offering competitive returns, this instrument is 100 per cent guaranteed by the state and has lower taxes compared to conventional deposits.

This means investors can achieve potentially higher returns with a high level of security.

“We want to ensure that THR is not only spent on shopping, but also becomes productive capital. With FR bonds, money can work harder for us,” added William.

For those who wish to continue investing according to Islamic principles during the month of Ramadan, Bibit also provides a range of Islamic mutual funds with affordable minimum investments starting from Rp10,000.

“Even with small amounts, anyone can start building consistent investment habits,” said William.

To help investors remain disciplined, Bibit continues to promote the use of the Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) strategy, which combines the power of compound returns and Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA).

Through the auto-debit feature integrated with RDN Wallet, GoPay, and Bank Jago, users can automatically set aside funds, including from THR, for long-term objectives such as children’s education funds, wedding expenses, and retirement.

For reference, throughout 2025 Bibit reported that it has attracted two million new investors, representing a 37 per cent increase compared to the previous year.
