Man killed for burning house

SEMARANG: A man was beaten to death by residents of Bulu village in Temanggung regency on Thursday after setting his parents' house on fire.

Central Java Police spokesman Lt. Col. M. Ramlie said Sutoto, 26, was mobbed after he stabbed three people who asked him not to go ahead with burning the house.

The wounded residents were Irfai, 30, Iskandar, 30 and Kirman, 40. They were rushed to Ngestiwaluyo Hospital in Temanggung.

Ramlie said Sutoto died on the way to the hospital. Sutoto reportedly was upset following a dispute over a family estate. (har/edt)
