Man caught using fake phone card

JAKARTA (JP): An employee of a private company was escorted to
the police yesterday after he was found using a fake telephone
card.

Endang Budiman, 25, was calling at from public phone on Jl.
Ampera, South Jakarta, when a telephone controller of state-owned
PT Telkom found him using a fake telephone card.

The controller, Suhendra, said that he often caught people
using fake telephone cards. "PT Telkom suffers losses due to the
use of fake telephone cards," he added.

Budiman stated that he bought the telephone card from a street
vendor at Blok M shopping complex in South Jakarta. He said he
did not know the seller's identity. (29)
