Man caught for growing pot

TANGERANG (JP): A 37-year-old man has been arrested for
allegedly growing marijuana in his yard in Batuceper subdistrict.

The police confiscated 37 marijuana trees and 400 seeds from
the suspect, Pe Giok, on Monday, Antara reported.

Giok told the police he planted the marijuana six months ago
for himself and his friends. The trees were about 1.5 meters
tall.

A police officer said Giok grew the marijuana among foliage
and the plants were not visible from outside his home.

A citizen's tip-off led to the raid, he added. (pan)
