Malaysia Condemns Israeli Attack on Iran, Says World Does Not Need New War
Kuala Lumpur — Malaysia’s Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan has stated that Malaysia condemns Israel’s attacks on Iran in the strongest terms, declaring that the world currently does not require a new war.
“This aggressive action will only increase the suffering of innocent people and create opportunities for wider conflict. The world does not need a new war,” Hasan said in a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.
Hasan characterised the attack as deeply concerning and at risk of triggering greater tensions in the region.
He stated that the strikes clearly violate principles of international law, including the Geneva Conventions, UN Security Council resolutions, UN General Assembly resolutions, and principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter.
Hasan argued that the attacks have also violated a nation’s sovereignty and threatened regional security and stability.
“Whatever reasons are given, violence is not the path to resolution,” Hasan said.
He emphasised that Malaysia condemns Israeli actions in the harshest terms and called for the attacks to cease immediately.
“Negotiations must be conducted to ensure global peace and stability,” Hasan said.
