Malaysia Airlines Suspends Flights to Doha, Jeddah, and Madinah Until 4 March 2026 Amid US-Iran Tensions
Malaysia Airlines has officially suspended all flights to and from Doha (DOH), Jeddah (JED), and Madinah (MED) until 4 March 2026.
According to a statement from Malaysia Airlines released on Sunday, 1 March 2026, this decision was made following the closure of airspace in several Middle East regions due to escalating security tensions in the area.
This service suspension represents a continuation of flight cancellations already implemented from 28 February to 1 March 2026.
Malaysia Airlines has confirmed that flights to other destinations, including London Heathrow Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, will continue to operate on schedule. However, flight routes have been diverted away from conflict zones in the Middle East.
All affected passengers have been or are being notified of the suspension. The airline has also provided options for rebooking travel in accordance with individual passenger requirements.
Passengers are asked to update their contact details through the My Booking feature or contact customer service directly.
Malaysia Airlines’ Group Communications has stated that it will continue to monitor developments in the security situation in the Middle East. The decision to resume routes to Doha, Jeddah, and Madinah will be determined following further assessment of airspace security conditions.
