Malang City Health Department States 46 SPPG Units Have Obtained SLHS Certificates
Malang, East Java (ANTARA) - The Malang City Health Department (Dinkes) in East Java states that 46 nutritional fulfilment service units (SPPG) or free nutritious meal kitchens (MBG) in the area have obtained hygiene and sanitation certificates (SLHS).
The Head of the Malang City Health Department, Husnul Muarif, met at the Sukoharjo 2 Klojen SPPG on Friday, noted that the educational city currently has 66 operational SPPG units.
Of these 66 SPPG, he said, there are still 20 MBG kitchens without SLHS because they must make several adjustments to the standard operational procedures and technical guidelines (juknis) from the central government.
These adjustments include microbiological examinations, workflow or circulation from material entry to the SPPG until distribution, the suitability of places for washing and drying food raw materials for MBG, adequate storage for ompreng or food containers, and wastewater treatment installation (IPAL).
“Until everything is fulfilled, there is no specific time limit from us. As long as it is not fulfilled, there is no SLHS,” he stated.
Once an SPPG has obtained SLHS, the Malang City Health Department will conduct periodic supervision for three months after the certificate is issued.
This process is carried out to truly ensure that every food material processed by the SPPG still meets health standards and is safe for consumption by the beneficiaries of the MBG programme.
Regarding the revocation of SPPG establishment permits, Husnul stated that it adjusts to the main duties and functions (tupoksi) of the relevant department.
“That is the authority of the Permitting Department (Department of Manpower, Investment, and One-Stop Integrated Services),” Husnul remarked.
