Majalengka Regency Ensures Hajj Pilgrims Meet Health Requirements
Majalengka (ANTARA) - The Majalengka Regency Government, West Java, ensures that prospective Hajj pilgrims from the region have fulfilled the health requirements before being dispatched to the Holy Land for the Hajj season of 1447 Hijriah/2026 CE.
Majalengka Regent Eman Suherman in Majalengka on Saturday stated that every prospective pilgrim departing through the Kertajati Embarkation has undergone medical examinations in accordance with standards.
“All pilgrims departing, including today’s group, are confirmed to have met the health criteria standards based on doctors’ diagnoses,” he said.
He emphasised that health monitoring for prospective pilgrims from Majalengka Regency is conducted continuously by Hajj officials.
In addition to health, Eman also reminded the importance of maintaining cohesion among the prospective pilgrims while in the Holy Land.
“The conditions there have buildings that are almost identical, the risk of getting lost is very high, plus language barriers,” he said.
Furthermore, his side has released 437 prospective pilgrims grouped in kloter 6 as the first batch from Majalengka dispatched to the Indramayu Hajj Dormitory.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Office (Kemenhaj) Majalengka, Abu Mansur, said that the number is part of the total quota of 729 prospective pilgrims from Majalengka.
“This kloter initiates the departure with a total of 437 people using 11 bus fleets,” he said.
In that kloter, according to him, there are also 12 prospective pilgrims using wheelchairs who will receive special assistance during the Hajj pilgrimage.
“The group is scheduled to enter the Hajj Dormitory on Saturday at 15:00 WIB before being dispatched the next day through Kertajati International Airport,” he said.
Subsequently, the remaining prospective pilgrims from Majalengka will be dispatched gradually through kloter 23, kloter 29, and kloter 39 in May 2026, joining groups from other regions.
