Magazine to promote exports

JAKARTA (JP): The Media Karya Press Group yesterday launched a
new magazine, called Products & Industry, to promote Indonesia's
manufactured products to the international community.

The magazine's general manager, Cosmas Batubara, the former
manpower minister, said in the launching ceremony that the
English-language publication would be available at Indonesia's
embassies and trade promotion centers overseas.

"We have achieved remarkable progress in the manufacturing
industry, but we need to aggressively promote our industrial
products to the international market," Cosmas said in pointing
out the mission of the bimonthly magazine.

The magazine is edited by Andi Baso Mappatoto, a former senior
editor of the Antara news agency. (hdj)
