Lumajang Regency Secures Eighth Consecutive Unqualified Opinion, Strengthens Public Services
Lumajang, East Java - The Lumajang Regency government has secured an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) for the eighth consecutive year, reinforcing its commitment to improving public service governance.
The Unqualified Opinion on the 2025 Fiscal Year Local Government Financial Report (LKPD) was presented by the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) to Lumajang Regent Indah Amperawati and DPRD Chairperson Oktafiyani during the handover of the LKPD Audit Report (LHP) at the BPK’s East Java Representative Office in Sidoarjo on Friday, May 29.
“I am grateful for this achievement. The WTP is an indicator that the regional financial management has been conducted in accordance with government accounting standards and applicable regulations,” said Lumajang Regent Indah Amperawati in an official statement on Saturday.
This marks the eighth consecutive year of such an achievement, reflecting the local government’s consistent efforts to strengthen transparent, accountable governance focused on improving public service quality.
She added that the highest audit opinion was a result of collaborative efforts from all regional agencies, DPRD support, and stakeholder participation in fostering better governance.
“We aim for financial and governance management to not only meet administrative standards but also effectively support public services and ensure development benefits reach the community,” she said.
Key Foundation
Similarly, Lumajang Regency Secretary Agus Triyono stated that maintaining the WTP for eight consecutive years demonstrates the strong commitment of all regional agencies to build an accountable, professional, and responsible work culture.
He added that this achievement serves as a crucial foundation for continuously enhancing the quality of governance in Lumajang Regency.
“Securing the WTP eight times in a row is certainly a commendable achievement. However, more important is how this sound financial governance can support higher-quality public services and ensure development benefits reach the community,” he said.
Agus noted that the WTP not only reflects the quality of financial report management but also drives regional agencies to continuously improve performance, programme effectiveness, and service quality for the public.
“The WTP is not merely an administrative achievement but a foundation for strengthening government accountability and enhancing the performance of regional agencies in serving the public,” he added.
The Lumajang Regency government is committed to implementing all BPK recommendations as part of ongoing improvement efforts to strengthen good governance and support effective, targeted, and sustainable development programmes.
Therefore, the regency government is confident it can continue enhancing public service quality, bolstering public trust, and driving regional development that delivers tangible benefits for community welfare.
