LRT Jabodebek Introduces Interactive Screens to Simplify Information Access for Passengers
Jakarta (ANTARA) - LRT Jabodezek has introduced Interactive Screens as a digital facility to make it easier for passengers to obtain various information while at the station. The facility was officially introduced on Sunday (13/9) at Ciracas Station, coinciding with the third anniversary of LRT Jabodebek serving the public.
Through the Interactive Screens, users can access the latest travel information, including departure schedules and service updates. The facility also integrates several pieces of information required by passengers into a single digital access point, ranging from interactive maps to find facilities and routes, to information regarding activity centres around the station.
LRT Jabodebek’s Public Relations Manager, Radhitya Mardika, stated that the presence of this facility is part of the utilisation of technology to facilitate users in obtaining information while at the station.
“The introduction of Interactive Screens is part of LRT Jabodebek’s efforts to provide an increasingly practical travel experience. Users can obtain necessary travel information and facilities without having to search through multiple different channels,” he said.
The development of this service aligns with the growth in the number of LRT Jabodebek users. From 28 August to 31 December 2023, LRT Jabodebek served 4,562,673 passengers. This number increased to 21,055,870 users in 2024 and rose again to 28,816,787 users in 2025. Meanwhile, from January to 3ly August 2026, LRT Jabodebek has served 21,809,797 passengers.
In response to increasing public mobility needs, LRT Jabodebek has also made service adjustments. Since 15 June 2026, LRT Jabodebek has increased trip frequency during morning peak hours, adding a total of 430 trips on weekdays. This adjustment was implemented following a trial period from 8–12 June 2026. Evaluation results showed two additional trips towards Dukuh Atas BSI, specifically from Jati Mulya at 07:11 WIB and Harjamukti at 07:26 WIB.
This series of developments demonstrates LRT Jabodebek’s efforts to improve services to meet public mobility needs, through both trip management and the use of technology to provide information access to users.
The introduction of the Interactive Screens is also part of the anniversary celebrations titled “Three Years of LRT Jabodebek Serving with Heart”. During the event, LRT Jabodebek invited 200 passengers who have made LRT Jabodebek their primary choice for daily mobility.
Three passengers with the highest travel frequency received appreciation in the form of awards, souvenirs, and electronic money card top-ups. In addition to passengers, LRT Jabodebek also recognised three tenant partners who support user needs within the station areas.
LRT Jabodebek also expressed its appreciation to the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA), as well as the Provincial Governments of Jakarta and West Java, for their support and collaboration in enhancing LRT Jabodebek services as part of the public transport ecosystem in the Jabodebek area.
The event series also included the announcement of three winners of a photography competition themed “Visual Exploration of LRT Jabodebek: Aesthetic and Educative, Smart Transportation, Limitless Mobility”, which captured various activities and experiences of the public using LRT Jabodebek.
Entering its fourth year of service, LRT Jabodebek continues to strive to improve service quality through facility development and the use of technology to support increasingly easy and practical journeys for users.
