The Lembaga Pengelola Dana Bergulir (LPDB) Koperasi is increasingly intensifying cooperation and financing for cooperatives affiliated with youth organisations and communities. Jakarta (ANTARA) - LPDB Koperasi continues to process financing applications for Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDKMP), particularly those that are already operational or serving as pilots, in line with the government’s efforts to accelerate the strengthening of cooperatives at the village level. LPDB Koperasi’s CEO, Krisdianto, stated that this process is being carried out in accordance with Ministerial Regulation on Cooperatives No. 09 of 2025, with a focus on strengthening business units, especially savings and loan units. “We continue to process financing proposals from KDKMP in accordance with Ministerial Regulation on Cooperatives No. 09 of 2025 (on the Distribution of Revolving Fund Loans or Financing to Red and White Village/Urban Village Cooperatives),” Krisdianto said in an official statement in Jakarta on Wednesday. LPDB has also approved financing for several operational Kopdes/Urban Village Merah Putih cooperatives. However, LPDB did not provide further details on the amount of funds disbursed to these pilot village cooperatives. In addition to financing, Krisdianto conveyed that LPDB, together with the Ministry of Cooperatives, is preparing guidelines for microfinance institutions (LKM) that will serve as operational references for village cooperatives, particularly in managing savings and loan units. According to him, these guidelines will soon be disseminated to strengthen governance and accelerate the operations of village cooperatives in various regions. On the other hand, Krisdianto mentioned that LPDB is also continuing to strengthen the upstream side through cooperative talent development, including partnering with 15 incubator institutions to encourage the birth of more adaptive cooperatives, including those involving youth. “LPDB is increasingly intensifying cooperation and financing for cooperatives affiliated with youth organisations and communities,” Krisdianto said. He assessed that collaboration with youth communities is increasingly important to improve cooperative literacy, especially among Gen Z, whose understanding remains relatively low.
