Lovina Region Development Commences as Buleleng Regency Allocates Rp 14.1 Billion
The development of the Lovina region has officially commenced. Buleleng Regency Government has allocated Rp 14.1 billion for the infrastructure development project of this iconic northern Bali tourism destination.
“We want tourists to feel safe, comfortable, and to have a quality tourism experience when visiting Lovina,” said Sutjidra during the event.
Buleleng Regency hopes that the Lovina region development can enhance the destination’s competitiveness. Sutjidra aims to increase both domestic and international tourist visits to Buleleng through this initiative, supported by strengthened promotion of Buleleng’s tourism sector.
Sutjidra stated that the development project encompasses improving road access to the tourism area, organising pedestrian pathways, improving public facilities, and developing the beach area. This also includes upgrading the lighting system and environmental cleanliness standards.
Buleleng Regency, he noted, is involving the community and tourism business operators in the tourism area development. According to Sutjidra, this is important to preserve Lovina’s local character.
“This development is carried out in a planned and phased manner so that Lovina becomes increasingly competitive,” Sutjidra added.
I Putu Adiptha Eka Putra, Head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Settlement Area Department (PUPR Perkim) of Buleleng, stated that the project was contracted for Rp 14.1 billion through a tender process. He ensured that the project is being carried out transparently, with the involvement of the prosecutor’s office, police, and the Inspectorate in project supervision.
“The tender process has been completed. The work is led by skilled local workers, and we have inspected them—their performance is good,” said Adiptha.
