The Government will provide a toll tariff discount of 30 percent. The discount will be applied during the Lebaran mudik and balik periods for journeys paid with electronic toll collection on the longest-distance segments on designated tolled roads.

The Ministry of Public Works states that the 30 percent toll tariff discount during the Lebaran mudik period will be implemented by cutting the profit margins of toll road concession operators (BUJT). “All BUJT have agreed directly; the routes and timing have been conveyed by the Head of BPJT,” said Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo in a written statement on Friday, 6 March 2026.

For mudik, the government will provide the toll tariff discount during 15–16 March 2026. Meanwhile, the discount for balik (return) applies during 26–27 March 2026.

Several tolled sections will receive the toll tariff discount, including Jakarta–Cikampek, Jakarta–Cikampek Elevated (MBZ), Cikampek–Palimanan, Palimanan–Kanci, Kanci–Pejagan, Pejagan–Pemalang, Pemalang–Batang, Batang–Semarang, Semarang ABC, Cipularang, Padaleunyi, Tangerang–Merak, Cimanggis–Cibitung, Cileunyi–Sumedang–Dawuan (Cisumdawu), and Kelapa Gading–Pulogebang.

Discounts also apply to toll roads outside Java, such as Bakauheni–Terbanggi Besar, Terbanggi Besar–Pematang Panggang–Kayuagung, Kayuagung–Palembang, Indralaya–Prabumulih, Pekanbaru–Dumai, Pekanbaru–Bangkinang–Koto Kampar, Indrapura–Kisaran, Kuala Tanjung–Tebing Tinggi–Parapat, Belawan–Medan–Tanjung Morawa, Medan–Kualanamu–Tebing Tinggi, and Sigli–Banda Aceh Seksi 2–6.

To support Lebaran mudik, the Ministry of Public Works ensures the fulfilment of minimum service standards, the operation of additional tolled road segments without tolls, and the preparation of additional rest areas and both operational and functional services.

The Ministry also notes the readiness of the national road network ahead of Lebaran. The non-toll national road network, spanning 47,603.39 kilometres, is currently maintained at a level of 93.5 percent. Meanwhile, the toll-road network ready to serve the mudik period covers 3,115.98 kilometres across various regions in Indonesia.

The Ministry of Public Works has prepared 496 mudik posts across Indonesia to monitor road conditions and provide technical support on-site. The posts function as coordination hubs for monitoring traffic and rapid response in the event of disruptions on mudik routes.

The public can access up-to-date information on the conditions of national roads and tolled roads, congestion hotspots or disasters, mudik post locations, and the available infrastructure services along the Lebaran 2026 routes by visiting the official Ministry of Public Works site mudik.pu.go.id.

Information services can also be accessed via monitoring apps provided by toll road operators, such as Travoy by Jasa Marga and HK Toll Apps by Hutama Karya.

Additionally, the public can submit complaints regarding the condition of national roads and tolled roads through the Halo Pak Dody service channel, available via the Minister of Public Works’ Instagram account @dody_hanggodo.

Roy Rizali Anwar, Director General of Bina Marga at the Ministry of Public Works, said the ministry has prepared strategies to ensure smooth mudik and balik, particularly on major routes expected to see increased traffic volumes.

The strategy involves ensuring all national roads are in sturdy condition, free from potholes, and that all road side structures are in good condition to ensure safe and comfortable travel for mudik.

To anticipate potential disruptions on mudik routes such as natural disasters or infrastructure damage, the Ministry of Public Works has prepared a disaster relief unit (DRU) consisting of heavy equipment, materials, and supporting personnel on standby in various regions.

A total of 1,461 units of equipment have been prepared and deployed nationwide during the mudik standby period to accelerate response to disruptions on national roads. In addition, emergency materials such as Bailey bridges, gabions, sandbags, cold mix asphalt, and other rapid repair materials have been prepared.
