List of Job Sectors Not Following the Government's WFH Policy
The government has determined that several job sectors for civil servants (ASN) will not implement the work-from-home (WFH) policy. Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto conveyed this during a press conference on the government’s policies for mitigating risks and anticipating global dynamics on Tuesday (31/3). Airlangga stated that the job sectors not implementing WFH are the public services sector and strategic sectors. “There are sectors exempted from WFH and required to work from offices or in the field, namely the public services sector such as health, security, cleanliness, as well as strategic sectors like industry or production, energy, water, staple goods: food and beverages, trade, transportation, logistics, and finance,” said Airlangga during the press conference. In this press conference, Airlangga announced the implementation of WFH for civil servants (ASN) one working day per week, every Friday, to achieve energy efficiency in the face of global conflicts. “The implementation of WFH for ASN in central and regional areas, one working day per week, namely every Friday, as regulated in the Circular Letter of the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform and the Circular Letter of the Minister of Home Affairs,” he stated. The government is also limiting the use of official vehicles and encouraging the use of public transportation. “Efficient mobility, including a 50% restriction on official vehicle usage except for operations and electric vehicles, and promoting the use of public transportation,” said Airlangga. In addition, the government is restricting domestic official travel by 50% and international travel by 70%.
