The verdict against two company directors in the corruption case involving the procurement of chromebooks in East Lombok is lighter than the prosecutors’ demands. Nevertheless, both must still serve prison terms of more than seven years.

The two company directors were sentenced to seven and a half years and seven years in prison, respectively, in the corruption case concerning the procurement of information and communication technology (ICT) devices in the form of chromebooks by the East Lombok Education and Culture Office in 2022. They are Libert Hutahaean, Director of PT Temprina Media Grafika, and Lia Anggawari, Director of PT Dinamika Indo Media.

“Imposing a prison sentence of seven years and six months on the defendant Lia Anggawari. Imposing a prison sentence of seven years on the defendant Libert Hutahaean,” ruled the panel of judges chaired by Lalu Moh Sandi Iramaya at the Mataram Corruption Court (Tipikor), on Monday (4/5/2026).

In addition to the prison sentences, both defendants were also sentenced to fines of Rp500 million each. If the fines are not paid, they must be replaced with imprisonment.

“With the provision that if the fine is not paid, it shall be replaced with imprisonment for 100 days,” stated the judge.

Furthermore, the panel of judges ordered both defendants to pay restitution. Defendant Lia Anggawari was sentenced to pay restitution of Rp534 million, while Libert Hutahaean was sentenced to pay Rp3.2 billion.

The restitution must be paid no later than one month after the decision gains legal force. If not paid, the defendants’ assets will be seized and auctioned.

“If insufficient, it shall be replaced with imprisonment of three years and six months each,” added the judge.

In its decision, the court stated that both were proven to have violated Article 603 of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 18 of Law No. 31 of 1999 on Corruption Crimes in conjunction with Articles 20 letters (a, b, and c) of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code.

“Ruling that defendants Lia Anggawari and Libert Hutahaean have been legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing corruption crimes jointly as charged in the primary indictment of the public prosecutor,” explained the judge.

The sentences for both defendants are lighter than the demands of the public prosecutor. Previously, the prosecutors demanded eight years in prison and a fine of Rp750 million subsidiary 165 days imprisonment for each.

In addition, the prosecutors demanded that Libert Hutahaean pay restitution of Rp3.2 billion subsidiary four years, and Lia Anggawari Rp534 million subsidiary four years.

Other Defendants Already Sentenced

In this case, Libert Hutahaean and Lia Anggawari were charged along with several other parties, namely former Secretary of the East Lombok Education and Culture Office, As’ad; commitment-making official (PPK), Amrulloh; Director of CV Cerdas Mandiri, Salmukin; and marketing of PT JP Press Media Utama, M Jaosi alias Ojik.

The other four defendants have already been sentenced earlier. As’ad was sentenced to three years in prison and a fine of Rp500 million subsidiary 100 days imprisonment.

Amrulloh was sentenced to five years and six months in prison and a fine of Rp500 million subsidiary 100 days imprisonment.

Salmukin was sentenced to five years and six months in prison, a fine of Rp500 million subsidiary 100 days imprisonment, and to pay restitution of Rp1.32 billion subsidiary three years.

Meanwhile, M Jaosi was sentenced to six and a half years in prison and a fine of Rp500 million subsidiary 100 days imprisonment. He was also required to pay restitution of Rp238 million subsidiary three years imprisonment.

It is known that this case originated from the 2022 special allocation fund (DAK) of Rp32 billion. The state losses incurred amounted to Rp9.2 billion based on calculations by the Public Accounting Office.
